Introduction to Universal Design for Learning

Introduce staff to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, an approach to designing accessible and flexible instruction that proactively supports all students across the spectrum of strengths, needs, backgrounds, and preferences.

Timing (Option 1): 1-1.5 hour presentation

Timing (Option 2): 'Flipped' training consisting of independent completion of a self-paced online module (~2 hours) followed by an interactive, hands-on workshop (1-3 hours)

Audience: All educators

FREE Online Resources for Professional Learning

Learn about multiple reputable sources of free training materials for educators of students with disabilities, including modules, tip sheets, and case studies. Identify how to find and use these resources to support individualized professional learning goals.

Timing: 1-2 hour workshop

Sensory Accessibility 101

Discover ways to make your environment more accessible to people with autism and sensory sensitivities. Gain new strategies for day-to-day accommodations as well as specialized sensory-friendly events.

Timing: 1-1.5 hour workshop

In addition to one-time presentations and workshops like those described above, I am available for more extensive collaboration and consultation to support your school's or organization's professional learning goals. This may include curating a series of trainings, assisting with strategic planning, or advising on policies and procedures.

Levitating Objects
I love to create materials that directly support educators. I am always seeking collaborative opportunities for:
  • practitioner-focused books and articles

  • blogs, podcasts, and other media appearances

  • online resource development
